Neutral silicone is not suitable for adhesive bonding or filling hollow spaces. Complies with building material class B2 in accordance with DIN 4102. Due to the large number of varnish and glazing formulations available, especially on alkyd resin paints and powder-coated aluminium, always carry out your own tests on the area first. When hardening, neutral silicone gives off an odour typical of silicone. This odour can no longer be smelled once the curing process is complete. With larger joint dimensions, the silicone-like odour will be present for longer. Silicone has a tendency to discolour in dark areas where there is no UV exposure. Avoid contact with VKP tape.

Application area

Sealing of indoor expansion gaps with medium effect of action (outside of standard 15651 also suitable for outdoor use with low effect of action).

Instructions

The substrate must be intact, clean, dry and free from grease, rust and water. Do not use in heavy rain. Observe the joint dimensioning. Prime the joints with PE back-fill material, art. 0875... On absorbent and porous substrates (e.g. concrete), priming (silicone primer 0892170) improves adhesion. Please observe the "General Notes on Application for Sealants" and "Construction Material Compatibility of Würth Sealants" overview sheet.
